REPORT: Egypt is worst Arab state for women, Comoros best

According to a Thomson Reuteurs poll, Egypt was ranked as the worst Arab state for women due to spread of armed militias and a rise in kidnapping, extortion, random arrests and overall physical abuse of women.

They said the uprising that overthrew the president two years ago had failed to enshrine women's rights in law.
