Lucky Lebanese get a lesson in littering
Walking through Beirut on Saturday you may find yourself thinking the Lebanese have become extremely clumsy with their money. Throughout the city streets people have been stumbling across what look like 10,000 LL notes; Much to their dismay, the passerby soon learns they have just been taught a tough lesson in littering that Lebanon sorely needs.

Metel Ma Shelta (Just as You Picked it Up) is an anti-littering campaign led by a group of Lebanese graphic design students that wanted to convey a message with impact. By photocopying and slightly altering the colors of Lebanese currency, Metel Ma Shelta created flyers that were folded to show only the phoney money, hiding an important message about littering on the inside.

"Just as you picked this up... you can pick up litter from the streets", read the cleverly disguised flyers.

The initiative has proven to be a viral success on social media platforms with well over 1,000 likes and nearly as many shares on Facebook.

More information can be found on the campaign's Facebook page
