Stephane Dujarric, the spokesperson for UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, stated in a release that Guterres said "It is time to end the dangerous cycle of retaliation in the Middle East."
Dujarric added, "The Secretary-General condemns any act of retaliation and calls on the international community to work to prevent any further development that could lead to devastating consequences in the region and beyond."
