Italian FM calls for 'de-escalation' after reports of an attack in Iran

Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, who is hosting a meeting of his counterparts from the Group of Seven (G7), called for a "halt to escalation" after reports that Israel carried out a strike on Iran.

He told the television station "Rai" from Capri, "We call on everyone to exercise caution to avoid escalation," adding that the G7 wants "absolute calm" in the Middle East.
