MP Michel Murr says will submit candidacy for parliamentary elections on Friday

MP Michel Murr announced on Thursday that he supports the holding of the upcoming parliamentary elections on their due time as per the set constitutional rules and regulations.

He also added that he will submit on Friday his candidacy to support his stance.

MP Murr's announcement came following his meeting with Speaker Nabih Berri whereby he asserted that he supports the extension of the parliament's mandate in order to pave the way for "any consensual electoral draft law to be submitted."

Lebanese rival parties are sharply divided over the electoral law that would govern the upcoming parliamentary elections set for next June.
