Mufti Derian from Warsaw: Situation in Lebanon requires swift presidential polls
Mufti of the Republic Sheikh Abdel Latif Derian said on Thursday that "the vital situation in Lebanon requires swift presidential elections".

“I call on friendly states to help in reaching an agreement among the Lebanese to elect a president after two years of presidential vacuum and paralyses in the state's institutions,” Derian said following his visit to the presidential palace in Warsaw.

He also noted that the delay in the presidential elections would complicate and deteriorate the situation in the country.
