Former MP Hassan Yaacoub was admitted Thursday into the intensive care unit at the hospital after his health condition deteriorated, the state-run National News Agency reported.
Earlier this month, the former deputy has been transferred from Roumieh prison to hospital after being medically examined by an ISF medical team of three medical officers.
Yaacoub was arrested over his alleged involvement in the kidnapping of Hannibal Gadhafi, son of late Libyan leader Muammar Gadhafi.
The Yaacoub family blames the late Gadhafi for the 1978 disappearance of their father, Sheikh Mohammad Yaacoub who was with Shiite Imam Musa Sadr during an official visit to Libya.
