Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil stressed that what brings Lebanon and Egypt together is the diversity lost in other places in the region due to terrorism taking over.
In a speech delivered before the Lebanese community in Alexandria, Bassil said that the attack that targeted a church in Egypt is an attack against diversity and plurality, noting that terrorism seeks to plant divisions, which have been overcome by Lebanon.
“The Arab World and Europe are facing the same challenges, chief among which terrorism,” he said.
