REPORT: Study shows ‘alarming level’ of drug abuse in Lebanon

A study conducted by International Information, based on figures provided by the Anti-Drug Bureau of the Internal Security Forces, showed an increase in the spread of drugs between 2012 and 2016.

The figures are not only limited to the quantity of items seized by the security forces, but include also the number of drug use situation that were busted between 2012 and 2016, which increased from 1162 to reach 2126 in 2016.
