Head of the Arab Tawhid Party, former Minister Wiam Wahhab stressed Tuesday that Lebanon is currently going through a national crisis with the announcement of resignation of Prime Minister Saad Hariri, noting that “the drums of war started beating, but the important thing is not to happen in Lebanon.”
In a statement to LBCI’s Nharkom Said, Wahhab said that President Michel Aoub, Speaker Nabih Berri and Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah acted responsibly in these difficult circumstances.
Commenting on the Iranian-Saudi conflict, the former minister emphasized that Iran is making a strategic mistake by thinking that the Saudi threat is only verbal, noting that the Saudi threat must be taken seriously.
“There is an agreement between Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman and Israel with the approval of US President Donald Trump,” he added.
