REPORT: Lebanese renowned writer Emilie Nasrallah passes away
Lebanese renowned writer and journalist Emilie Nasrallah passed away on Wednesday aged 87.

Emilie was born in 1931 in the southern town of Kfeir. She graduated from the American University of Beirut in 1958.

She married Philipes Nasrallah and had four children: Ramzi, Maha, Khalil and Mona.

She published her first novel (Touyour Ayloul) in 1962 and was granted three literature awards.

Her books were translated into French and English.

She worked as a journalist, writer, teacher, lecturer and an activist in women's rights.
