The Lebanese Court of Appeals in Beirut, headed by Judge Roula Al-Housseini and the two magistrates, Carla Chouah and Grace Tayeh, issued a decision annulling the initial sentence issued by the single magistrate in Beirut, Ghassan Khoury, who had overturned legal proceedings against Hannibal Gaddafi on charges of insulting the justice system.
The defendant was thus sentenced to one year and three months in prison, and fined two million Lebanese pounds, in accordance with the articles 386 and 383 of the Penal Code.
