Truth behind reports of Lebanese nationals suffering from food poisoning in Medugorje

A Croatian airlines plane, scheduled to transport 161 Lebanese passengers from Medugorje back to Lebanon, failed to take off after some of them experienced symptoms of poisoning, forcing the plane’s pilot to refuse to take off on Wednesday at dawn.

19 passengers were transported to nearby hospitals where they underwent medical tests that revealed that these symptoms are in fact caused by a virus they caught in the atmosphere after the rains that fell in the region.

The medical tests were performed and the patients were given the necessary medicine and sent back to their hotels provided by the agency, in order to make the necessary arrangements for another flight that will fly them back to Beirut as soon as possible.
