Hariri in phone call to al-Azhar Sheikh: UAE speech noble and constructive

Prime Minister Saad Hariri called al-Azhar Sheikg Dr. Ahmad al-Tayeb, congratulating him on the Human Fraternity Document signed in Abu Dhabi with Pope Francis, on the occasion of the historic visit made by the pontiff to the United Arab Emirates.

Hariri said that “the UAE leadership has written a bright new page in history by organizing this visit.”

During the phone call, the PM praised the speech delivered by Dr. Al-Tayeb and noble and constructive ideas included in it, and his call on the Christians of the Arab World to consider themselves part of the Levant, instead of seeing themselves as minorities.

Hariri hailed Pope’s visit to UAE, which translated the value of coexistence in today’s world, hoping that these values will triumph in the future of the East and humanity in general.
