Lebanon’s railway administration has 300 employees, but no railroad

Lebanon’s railroad system went out of service in 1989, yet the railway administration still has a budget of 13 billion Lebanese pounds. The new pay scale even included a raise in wages for the administration's employees, whose number reached 300.

A salary of an employee at the railway administration before the pay scale was LBP 1.4 million and after the approval of the pay scale, this salary reached LBP 3.270 million.
