Within the framework of the investigation conducted by the State Security apparatus into the case of leaked documents acquired by al-Akhbar newspaper related to Washington meetings, reports said that State Security members raided al-Akhbar offices located in Concorde building to take CCTV footage, since information indicated that the suspected informant visited the offices before said documents were published.
This measure triggered several reactions, first from the newspaper, as well as reactions from politicians, media outlets, unions and civil society groups.
