Head of Change and Reform
bloc, MP Michel Aoun said on Saturday that “the cabinet is not homogeneous,
this is why many obstacles hinder its projects”, stressing that the country is
being robbed, as most of its rulers form mafia groups. He said that these
statements can be proved by documents.
During a popular gathering
in Jezzine, Aoun said that “no one can harm
our dignity and reputation, and despite all difficulties we carried on with our
projects”.
Aoun noted that votes cannot be
bought, “since a deputy represents the people, the nation and the region”.
Earlier in the day, MP Michel Aoun stressed that there is no party intending to
overcome the Lebanese Army’s mission in facing Israel, noting that Israel aims
at occupying the Lebanese territory, seizing the Lebanese waters and resettling
the Palestinians.
Speaking from Jezzine’s
Serail, Aoun called on everyone to unite for Lebanon’s benefit, since “Israel
is threatening Lebanon that it will not only strike Iran and Syria but also
Hezbollah, which constitutes a danger to Israel”.
On the elections, Aoun said
that the real danger is if the elections do not take place, “there are two
solutions: either the Orthodox proposal or the draft law based on proportional representation”,
he added.
Aoun put the foundation
stone of a residential project in al-Maknouniyeh, launched by the municipality
to help the residents.
MP Michel Aoun kicked off his
tour in Jezzine on Saturday by visiting the towns of Jermoq, Aychiyeh and Al Rihan where he was
greeted Loyalty to the Resistance bloc leader MP Mohammad Raad, Hezbollah officials and crowds of residents. Aoun laid a wreath on the monument of the Aychiyeh martyrs.
Later on
Saturday, Aoun visited Kfarhouna before heading to Al Husayniyah where he was
welcomed by a crowd of Hezbollah and Amal Movement partisans. Aoun then headed
to the house of MP Ziad Aswad for a breakfast banquet.
“National unity is our defense; we may
disagree in politics but we cannot disagree on fundamental national topics”,
Aoun said from Asswad’s residence.
Aoun continued his tour and
visited the towns of Kaytouli and al-Mankouniyeh in Jezzine.
