Three prisoners escape Roumieh prison
Three detainees from Fatah al-Islam escaped Roumieh prison, while the Internal Security Forces launched a pursuit operation to arrest them.

A security source told LBCI that the three fugitives were Syrian nationals Omar Othman and Mamdouh Fallah, also known as Abou Baker al-Charii, as well as the Algerian national Faysal Aykala.

According to the sources, forces from the Army Intelligence went to Roumieh prison to meet with Mamdouh Fallah but did not find him. This led the security forces to count the prisoners, revealing that three were missing.

The sources also reported that Mamdouh Fallah was killed during clashes in the town of Qusayr, Syria.

It is worth mentioning that since the last uprising of the detained in Roumieh prison in September 15, security forces have not conducted a census of the prisoners, while the cells' doors remain open.
