The al-Madina bank collapse took place in 2003, with the loss of an amount of 1.65 billion dollars. Accordingly, a list of suspects included more than 90 names of political, security, military, financial and even legal figures.         

The bank's scandal included several files related to corruption, fraud and money laundering.            

Today, the General Prosecutor Hatem Madi is willing to reopen the file by issuing a decision appointing a committee of experts to pursue the case.
