State Minister for Refugee Affairs Mouin Merhebi stressed Tuesday that Lebanon is not the country for final displacement, expressing complete rejection to the notion of resettlement while insisting on the safe return of the refugees to Syria under the appropriate circumstances under the direct supervision of the United States.
Following his meeting with Maronite Patriarch Beshara Boutros Rai in Bkerke, the minister called on the Syrian refugee to commit to working within the three sectors allowed by the law.
Internal Security Forces chief Major General Imad Othman also visited Bkerke, where he tackled the security situation in the country.
