Protesters gathered on Sunday in al-Alam Square in the southern city of Tyre, calling for holding the corrupt officials accountable and recovering the stolen public funds.
The demonstrators raised the Lebanese flags amid tight security measures implemented by the Lebanese army and the security forces in the vicinity of said square, the National News Agency reported.
Posters of Speaker Nabih Berri and Imam Moussa Sadr were handed across the city’s northern entrances.
