Mobile Operators Employees Syndicate declared an open-ended strike at both Alfa and Touch companies as of Tuesday November 12, to protest against being deprived of their benefits that form 30% of their annual income, which would be disastrous on the lives of more than 2000 families.
In a statement, the syndicate said that the decision was taken following negotiations conducted over the past months with Telecom Minister Mohammad Choucair, noting that they still hope to reach the desired results in guaranteeing the rights of the employees and preserving their benefits.
