Member of Strong Lebanon bloc MP Simon Abi Ramia stressed that they will facilitate the work of the PM-designate Hassan Diab in forming a new government, adding that they do not care about positions when Lebanon is in danger.
In a statement to LBCI, Abi Ramia noted that the demonstrations that started on October 17 were triggered by accumulated policies over 30 years, pointing out that a new political performance and a new behavior is needed from the political parties in order to lessen the concerns of the people and resolve the pressing economic issues.
“I asked Diab during our meeting with him to form a productive and effective cabinet that will set up a plan to rescue the economic situation,” he said, stressing that they refuse any dictation from a foreign party regarding the formation of the Lebanese government.
He explained that the new cabinet should gain the confidence of the people, the parliament and the International Community, the support of which is highly needed to repair the current situation.
