Diab refuses formation of a 20-minister Cabinet-sources to LBCI
Sources told LBCI that Prime Minister-designate Hassan Diab refused to form a Cabinet made of 20 ministers, adding that the next government will be formed of 18 ministers only.
The same sources added that discussions are now tackling the possibility of naming Amale Haddad as deputy prime minister without giving her any ministerial portfolio as an attempt to solve the hurdles facing the formation process.
The sources concluded by saying that Marada leader Sleiman Frangieh did not inform Diab that he will not partake in the upcoming Cabinet.
