A new General Security detention center with high humanitarian standards was inaugurated on Friday in the region of Tahwita.
The center was founded by the state with the help of Lebanese businessmen, civil society associations, international organizations and the Swiss Embassy.
The building, which contains 16 rooms for women and 16 for men in separate blocs, also includes interrogation and confrontation rooms, dining rooms and outdoors spaces.
