The World Bank reaffirms commitment to Lebanon's 'recovery' as President Aoun vows reforms

Ousmane Dione, the World Bank's regional Vice President for the Middle East and North Africa, met with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun on Wednesday, reiterating the bank's commitment to aiding Lebanon's rebuilding efforts.

"The World Bank will stand by Lebanon to enable its rebuilding and recovery," Dione said.

Meanwhile, President Aoun affirmed that "Lebanon is determined to carry out the necessary reforms as announced in the inauguration speech. The new government's first task is to begin preparing the necessary legislation for that purpose."
