Israeli forces liberate hostages from Hamas amid gunfire

The spokesperson for the Israeli army, Admiral Daniel Hagari, said on Saturday that hundreds of Israeli soldiers participated in a special operation that witnessed gunfire to rescue four hostages held by the Hamas in Gaza.

Hagari added in a televised press conference that the operation had been planned for weeks and that a policeman was seriously injured.
