REPORT: Lebanese director Simon Asmar arrested on suspicion of murder

Lebanese director Simon Asmar denied on Sunday any relation to the murder of Syrian national Mohammad Ragheb al-Darwish who was found dead in the outskirts of Chahtoul region.

In this context, security forces obtained several attestations from Lebanese citizens confirming the existence of a relation between Simon Asman and the victim.

Citizens added that Al-Darwish blackmailed Asmar several times to hide such relation.

Security sources said that investigations are ongoing to reveal the truth behind murder.

Well informed sources added that director Simon Asmar is legally pursued for financial charges, while the Asmar family remained silent towards all media reports.
