Comedian Karim Abou Chakra dies at 68 after long battle with diabetes

Lebanese Comedian Karim Abou Chakra passed away at 68 after a long battle with diabetes, a disease that pinned him to bed for months.     

The funeral will be held at Kfaraamy – Aley at 3 pm next Sunday.    

The Ministry of Culture mourned Abou Chakra in a statement, and extended its condolences to the deceased’s family, to the Lebanese people and the Syndicate of theater, cinema, radio and television actors in Lebanon.    

The Ministry said that with Karim Abou Chakra’s death, the Lebanese comedy industry lost an actor that is “funny and loved by all the Lebanese”.
