Snake weighing 250 kilos found in South Lebanon

An-Nahar Daily reported that farmers found a huge snake eating a small pig in the vicinity of Wadi Khansa in the southern town of Kfarchouba in the region of al-Arkoub. The farmers said that the snake has a length of at least 5 meters, a diameter of about 40 centimeters, while its weight is around 250 kilograms.

The paper added that the farmers contacted the Lebanese army forces and a veterinary physician who rushed to the scene and injected the snake with an anesthetic substance, before transporting it using a hoist, to a zoo in Beirut.
