Caretaker PM Mikati: Lebanon is disappointed with int'l community's failure to address Syrian refugee issue
Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati stressed on Thursday that Lebanon has not delayed in meeting its responsibilities towards the Syrian refugees, but expressed his disappointment in the international community for ignoring their humanitarian needs given the limited means of the Lebanese state.

United Nations Under Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Valerie Amos said during talks with Mikati in the presence of UN Deputy Special Coordinator for Lebanon Robert Watkins and UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon Derek Plumblyat the Grand Serail that the UN and its partners are joining efforts to support both refugees and the government.
