Sheikh Omar Haidar: Sit-in outside Grand Serail under discussion
Member of the committee tasked with discussing the issue of the abducted soldiers Sheikh Omar Haidar explained Sunday that the decision to set up a tent outside the Grand Serail has not been taken yet, noting that the movement’s date has yet been set.

A meeting was held on Sunday in the town of Fneideq, where sources reported that the conferees agreed on staging a sit-in on Tuesday and set up a tent outside the Grand Serail to protest against the failure to reach a solution for the case of abducted soldiers.

They said that their sit-in will last until the abducted soldiers are released.

Fneideq is the hometown of LAF martyr Sergeant Ali al-Sayyed, who was murdered by Islamic State militants. Al-Sayyed was among dozens of Lebanese Armed Forces and Internal Security Forces members abducted by the Islamic State and al-Nusra Front during the clashes that erupted in the northeastern border town of Arsal last month.
