Charred remains of a man found in Bourj Hammoud

Security sources said on Wednesday that the charred remains of a man was found in an abandoned apartment building in the Beirut suburb of Bourj Hammoud.

The sources added that the building caught fire early Wednesday at 4:00 AM, destroying two apartments in the mentioned two story building.

The body was transferred to Baabda hospital, north of Beirut.

Investigations were launched to determine reasons behind the fire, and to determine if the victim was killed in the fire or prior to its onset.
