Relatives of kidnapped Lebanese photographer Samir Kassab visit Bkerke, say their son is alive

A delegation from the relatives of photographer Samir Kassab, who has been kidnapped in Syria since October 2013, visited Bkerke on Tuesday, and called on the Patriarch Beshara Boutros Rai to resolve this issue.

Following the visit, the relatives explained that non-confirmed information made available to them states that Kassab is alive and held by gunmen of the Islamic State organization.

Lebanese Sky News Arabia cameraman Samir Kassab, has gone missing in Syria along with his Mauritanian colleague Ishak Moctar and their Syrian driver, who was not named at his family's request, as they arrived in the Syrian region of Aleppo in October 2013 to conduct a field report on the humanitarian aspect of the Syrians' crisis during Eid al-Adha.
