Lebanese singer Mouin Sherayef to LBCI: Lebanese politicians serve their own interests

Lebanese singer Mouin Sherayef said on Wednesday that the Lebanese politicians serve their own interests.

Sherayef’s comments were made during an interview with Nharkom Said TV show broadcast live from the Riyad al-Soleh square whereby he asserted that he is and will remain against the Israeli enemy, and against any form of corruption in the Lebanese government.

Sherayef voiced hopes that Prime Minister Tammam Salam would represent the Lebanese people inside the cabinet and reinstate the people’s power by facilitating the election of a president by the people.

As for the garbage crisis, Sherayef said failure to forge solutions to the issue is a mass suicide attempt, adding "the ongoing crisis threatens the entire Lebanese society."
