Lebanon opposes Israel’s maritime map

Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour said Monday that the map submitted by Israel to the U.N. lays out maritime borders that violate Lebanon’s sovereignty and infringe upon 860 square kilometers of its exclusive economic zone.

Mansour urged U.N. Chief Ban Ki-Moon to undertake the necessary measures to avoid a potential conflict arising from the disputed maritime boundary proposals.
