Kataeb party urges state to implement Bachir Gemayel verdict

The Kataeb Party congratulated on Tuesday the Lebanese people on the realization of justice in the case of assassinated Lebanese President Bachir Gemayel.

The party’s comments were made following the weekly meeting of its political bureau whereby it also demanded the Lebanese state to swiftly implement the sentence by bringing the perpetrators to justice.

On another note, the party expressed its objection for “the settlement that has passed in the budget for the year 2017.”

“What happened is an explicit violation of the Constitution,” it added.

The party also warned against the gravity of the situation reached by the Syrian refugee crisis in Lebanon.

“The percentage of the refugees reached 40% of the Lebanese population.” The party lamented.

It concluded by blaming the “divided political authority” for its failure in dealing with such an issue alongside other issues.
