Lebanese Arza Haddad develops a rocket engine in Haifa, says Israel is her home
Arza Haddad, 31, is the daughter of the late Saad Haddad, founder of the “South Lebanon Army”. Arza graduated on Wednesday with a master’s degree in Aeronautics from the Technion Institute in Haifa, Israel.

During the past few months, Arza was developing a rocket engine that enables speedier and longer-range missile fire for her thesis. Arza was a brilliant student, therefore the Institute’s administration decided to give her the right to represent the students of her promotion.

In her researches, Arza reached a result that impressed Israeli scientist especially that, thanks to these engines, rocket carriers can now hit targets from long distances.

Arza loves Israel, where she spent her whole adult life. She told Israeli newspaper Maariv “If I had lived in Lebanon, my life would have been worse; I pity those who live there, Israel is my home”.
