Finance Minister Ali Hassan Khalil said Wednesday that “he did not receive the seniority decree [referring to the decree granting one-year seniority to officers who graduated in 1994],” noting that “had it been referred to him, the debate would have taken a different path.”
The minister explained that the signature of the Finance Minister is essential for this type of decrees regardless of the identity of said minister, stressing that committing to the norms is the only solution.
In a statement to LBCI, the finance minister said that he signed today (Wednesday) the decrees pertaining to the promotion of the army officers.
