Residents of el-Buss Palestinian refugee camp in Tyre stage strike

Hundreds of residents of el-Buss Palestinian refugee camp in the southern region of Tyre staged Friday a strike to protest against a decision issued by Labor Minister Kamil Abou Sleiman against the Palestinian labor force, where the residents closed down their shops within the camp.

The residents also blocked the road leading into the camp with tires and barbed wires, denouncing the decision, calling on the Lebanese authorities to withdraw the decision, which they deemed unfair.

The camp’s residents also staged a protest at the mosque to condemn the pressure and tragedies faced by the Palestinians in Lebanon, demanding to be granted the most basic civil and social rights.
