Arida residents blocked all roads
Agence France Press said on Monday that residents from the Arida area on the northern Lebanese-Syrian border blocked on Sunday night all roads leading to the inner part of the town, preventing two trucks carrying Lebanese men coming from Syria to cross the border.

A number of Sunni residents of Arida blocked all roads to prevent the trucks from crossing the border, stoning the passengers and forcing them to leave.

AFP reported that sources close to the Pro-Syrian Arab Democratic Party representing the Alawite sect said that the trucks’ passengers were civilians and not from the Syrian Army.
