Tripoli and North Lebanon:
Citizen Abdul Karim Al-Hassan sustained wounds on the Akkar roundabout via sniper fire, and was consequently transferred to Rahhal Hospital. Citizen Lina Moustafa Hawa was reportedly killed through sniper gunshots
today in Jabal Mohsen. Earlier citizen Ahmad al-Masri of Bab
el-Tebbaneh also met the same fate, according to reports.
The National News Agency indicated that the death toll has
increased since the beginning of the clashes in Tripoli with 4 persons dead and
more than 20 injured.
Security sources reported that the clashes in Jabal Mohsen and other areas in the
city left seven people injured who were transferred to hospitals for treatment.
In this regard, the Lebanese Armed Forces raided Tripoli's region of Riva and arrested two gunmen in al-Tell area.
The LAF also conducted raids in Baqqar, “American” neighborhoods
and arrested a sniper in Mashroua Hariri in Tripoli.
Clashes between warring groups in Tripoli continued till the
early hours of Monday as both sides used different calibers of weapons in the
fighting. A sonic bomb was thrown in Mtein Street-Tripoli, adding to the already raised tensions.
All roads in the city are open with the exception of Tripoli-Malula-Bedwai road
which is the scene of sniping. This as a number of people blocked the roads leading to
Abdel Hamid Karami Square with burning tires, while Beddawi highway witnessed sniping operations.
On the other hand, partisans of the Future Movement set up tents
outside the residence of PM Mikati in al-Maarad street. Consequently, the ISF Information branch arrested on Monday the individual who opened fire at Miakti's residence in Tripoli on Sunday night.
In a statement, protestors outside Mikati’s residence
in Tripoli called for toppling the government and considering [Hezbollah’s]
disarmament as a national goal. In this regard, the Future
Movement Command in the North announced that it will hold a meeting at 5 pm tomorrow in the sit-in tent
erected outside Mikati’s residence.
Earlier, Future Bloc MP Mouin Merehbi told LBCI that their main demands are the cabinet's downfall and the removal of illegal arms, threatening of civil disobedience. He called on all the Lebanese to participate in civil disobedience for the purpose of [Hezbollah's] disarmament. He also called on the Army to deal with the situation in a legitimate and national manner.
Merhebi had said on Sunday that all illegal arms spread across the country must be removed, adding that
the “the security umbrella which Brig. Gen. Wissam al-Hassan placed
over Lebanon has been
removed, putting Lebanese citizens at risk”.
In turn, Tripoli MP Mohammad Kabbara called for the formation of a "neutral rescue government", stressing that security in Tripoli is a "red line". Kabbara denounced the attack against the Grand Serail, voicing his support for peaceful demonstrations. For more on this story, click

Beirut:
Heavy gun shots were heard in the Shayyah area, sniping also
reported as LAF tanks moved towards the Sports City complex. Security sources told LBCI that the Lebanese Armed Forces were chasing snipers who opened fire towards residential areas in Qasqas and Tareeq Jdideh area.
In the details, gunfire
exchange erupted between the Lebanese Army and the residents of the city of Qasqas earlier on Monday. In this context, the army forces conducted raids in the region and
worked on reopening roads, while gunmen were seen roaming the streets.
The LAF arrested 3 gunmen involved in Beirut's incidents, reports said.
Overnight, violent clashes erupted in the surroundings of Tareeq al-Jdideh, where heavy machine
guns and rocket-propelled grenades were used. The region’s residents
called on the security forces and the Lebanese Army to protect them and end the
clashes.
In this regard, the Association of Muslim Scholars held a press conference
urging residents, men to withdraw from the

Roads:
In a statement, the LAF confirmed that it had reopened
blocked roads between Beirut and South Lebanon, setting up checkpoints in
Tripoli.This as security forces reopened Seblin - Ketermaya road which was
cut-off to protest the death of Bassam Tafech, victim of Sunday’s clashes in
Wadi al-Zineh.
The Internal Security Forces added it had reopened all roads in
Beirut and removed all barriers, however blocked Cornishe al-Mazraa road, from Barbir to
Cola bridge due to the deterioration of the situation, especially at
the vicinity of the Sports City complex and the airport
road.
Media sources reported that Bekaa roads are completely reopened.
