Petra Khoury to LBCI: We overcame the last Coronavirus wave with least possible damage

Dr. Petra Khoury stressed on Saturday, during an interview with Nharkom Said TV show on LBCI, that "the last wave of Coronavirus had a lighter impact on the Lebanese, and we overcame it with the least possible damage compared to other countries."

She also stated that "with the few capabilities of Lebanon and the difficult economic and social conditions, we were able to overcome Coronavirus," noting that "with the human energies and management, we accomplished a lot at the level of the epidemic."

"What we can learn from what happened is that when the right person is in the right place, away from the Lebanese "bazaar" and religious, sectarian, partisan and other patronage, he will succeed," Khoury explained.

She emphasized that "we are not done with the Coronavirus file," pointing out that "35% of the residents received the two doses of the vaccine."

Additionally, she underlined that "the age groups that are at greater risk of dying from the virus and have been vaccinated, are somewhat safe," adding that "those who are not much at risk, cannot be irresponsible and not take the vaccine for the immunity doesn't last."
