Lebanese Embassy in South Africa sends free lifesaving medical supplies to Lebanon
A shipment containing 32,825 doses of anesthetic drugs is set to arrive to Lebanon on Thursday via air freight from Brussels, Belgium.

It is the first in a series of shipments sent by the Lebanese Embassy in South Africa following  a campaign it carried out that led to the establishment of a diaspora alliance to help Lebanon from all over the world.
The second shipment will also arrive from Brussels, Belgium, containing 63,000 tablets of leukemia drugs and 64,731 doses of anesthetics, within the next few weeks.
These two shipments, which were sent to the Ministry of Public Health in Lebanon, will provide sufficient anesthesia doses to perform more than 100,000 surgeries, and will be distributed to Lebanese hospitals that are experiencing a severe shortage on anesthesia.
