Energy Minister Walid Fayyad described on Wednesday his meeting with President Michel Aoun in Baabda as “positive.”
He said, "The most important thing is President Aoun's support for the electricity sector by improving the performance of the Electricité du Liban, and his tireless support for this issue, including the approval of the Prime Minister on the issue of repairing the gas pipeline that we launched yesterday."
The Minister of Energy explained that " advancing the electricity sector is on the right track, thanks to the gas from Egypt through Syria, which allows an additional 8 hours, and through Jordan's electricity which adds another two hours, for a total of 10 hours.”
