Interior Minister Mawlawi receives phone call from his Kuwaiti counterpart

Interior Minister Bassam Mawlawi received a phone call on Thursday from Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister of Kuwait Sheikh Ahmad Mansour Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, where they tackled joint security files, especially the seizure of large quantities of Captagon pills hidden in a shipment of lemons.

During the phone call, Mawlawi affirmed his keenness to “ensure the security and stability of the sisterly State of Kuwait.”

For his part, Sheikh al-Sabah thanked Minister Mawlawi for the security effort that the Lebanese security agencies managed to thwart the process of exporting Captagon to Kuwait.

They both further agreed on continuing security cooperation and exchanging information regarding the security of both countries.
