Deputy Head of the Higher Islamic Shiite Council Sheikh Ali al-Khatib received on Monday at the Council's headquarters, United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon Joanna Wronecka who thanked Sheikh al-Khatib, on behalf of UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres for his participation in the "spiritual meeting" during the SG’s recent visit to Lebanon.
Discussions reportedly touched on the most recent local developments and the situation in the region.
Sheikh al-Khatib also welcomed former Minister Imad Hoballah, with whom he discussed the current general situation.
