Public Works Minister Hamieh meets Italian Ambassador

Public Works Minister Ali Hamieh received on Friday Italian Ambassador to Lebanon Nicoletta Bombardiere accompanied by a delegation from the commercial office at the embassy as well as a delegation from the Italian Contractors Union, whereby they discussed cooperation in the sectors concerned by the ministry.

Hamieh also welcomed all Italian companies interested in investing in Lebanon, specifically in several areas, including the possibility of investment by companies specialized in the construction of Dahr el-Baidar tunnel, which connects Beirut with the Bekaa, as a vital artery for the region, whether through the BOT system or the PPP system, as well as in the fields of transport, railways, roads rehabilitation and Beirut Port.
