PM Mikati meets with UNIFIL head Maj. Gen. Del Col

Prime Minister Najib Mikati met on Wednesday with Head of Mission and Force Commander of UNIFIL Major General Stefano Del Col on a farewell visit before leaving Lebanon.

During the meeting, Mikati praised the role played by the UNIFIL in close cooperation with the Lebanese army. He also thanked General Del Col for “the effort he made during his tenure,” wishing him success.

On another note, Mikati received Australia ambassador to Lebanon Rebekah Grindlay on a farewell visit.

Grindlay expressed her affection for leaving Lebanon after spending three and a half years of her duties, saying that Lebanon is a "country that enters the heart".

She also expressed her best wishes to the Lebanese people.
