President Aoun to Major General Del Col: Lebanon is holding on to its rights and sovereignty

President Michel Aoun met on Thursday with Head of Mission and Force Commander of UNIFIL Major General Stefano Del Col, marking the end of his mission in Lebanon, and awarded him the National Order of the Cedar commander medal for the efforts he made as head of the UNIFL.

During the meeting, President Aoun said that the United Nations must put pressure on Israel to stop its violations, asserting that Lebanon is committed to implementing Resolution No. 1701.

Aoun also assured that Lebanon is holding on to its rights and total sovereignty of its land, sea and airspace in accordance with International laws and charters.

For his part, Major General Del Col stated that the South of Lebanon is the most peaceful region, pointing out that to a normal situation in the future can only be achieved through diplomatic and political endeavors.
